Over the last two years the Environment Agency, the Isle of Wight Council and Atkins, the consultants commissioned to carry out initial investigations, have completed the first phase of the Eastern Yar River and Coastal Strategy. A number of technical studies have been carried out to help identify the numerous river and coastal factors. The Eastern Yar Strategy is ongoing and as such the thoughts and conclusions outlined may have changed following further work. As such these are draft project outputs and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Isle of Wight Council and the Environment Agency.
