The Isle of Wight Centre for the Coastal Environment (IWCCE) provides a focus for the Isle of Wight Council's activities on a local, regional, national and transnational scale in relation to coastal and geotechnical issues.
Coastal Management on the Isle of Wight
The Isle of Wight Council's Centre for the Coastal Environment is the lead Council section for a number of functions, including Integrated Coastal Zone Management; coastal defence and coastal, landslide and cliff management and monitoring .
The Isle of Wight Coastal Visitors Centre
The Isle of Wight Coastal Visitors Centre provides an accessible point of contact for anyone with an interest in the Island's coastline. The Centre offers a range of curriculum based education talks and field courses available for all Key Stages.
National and European Research
The Centre has been successful in securing European Commission funding for a wide variety of research projects and initiatives and continues to maintain a high profile in terms of European and international coastal and geotechnical-re lated research.
